Foundation A15 MaVa project
The Rijnmond region is in full development. More and more houses and ports are sprouting up. The A15 is an important link between the port of Rotterdam (from the Maasvlakte), the rest of the country and the Ruhr area.
85 km of additional lanes for the A15
More people and more companies create more traffic on the A15. To make this area safer and more accessible, the stretch of the A15 from the Maasvlakte to Vaanplein (MaVa) is being modified. In total, there will be 85 km of extra lanes. To realize this, various viaducts and other technical masterpieces have been installed.
Foundation with steel pipes
For the foundations of one of these works, Solines has been commissioned to supply steel pipes of 457 x 8.8 mm. These were piles that were brought to depths of up to 35 meters by means of vibration-free, ground-displacing grout injection.
The work on the MaVa project is expected to be completed in 2015/2016.
