Solines delivers conductor pipes 610 Ø x 12.7 mm for vertical drilling for geothermal energy
Geothermal energy is heat recovery by extracting geothermal energy from the soil.
For a good customer, Solines supplied more than 200 meters of pipes Ø 610 x 12.7 mm. These conductor pipes will serve as protection for the water-bearing layers, so that they do not come into contact with the deeper layers.
Conductor pipes of Ø 610 x 12.7 mm
Our customer drilled a hole with a diameter of 800 mm to approx. 140 meters below ground level, after which the delivered pipes Ø 610 x 12.7 mm are then placed centred in this borehole. After this, the space between the borehole wall and the wall of the pipe is completely filled with cement grout. After this work, a derrick will be erected above the conductor pipes, which will drill the final well.
Eco-friendly and affordable
For geothermal energy projects, 2 wells are drilled to approximately 3,000 meters below ground level, from which the hot water is pumped up from the production well, and the heat is used to warm greenhouses, for example. Then the cooled water is pumped back into the nearby injection well. Geothermal energy is a sustainable and affordable ecological alternative to traditional heating or cooling systems.
Horizontal and vertical bores
For both horizontal (controlled) bores as well as vertical bores, for geothermal energy for example, Solines has an extensive range of steel pipes in stock. Several drilling companies are already among the regular customers of Solines.
