4,000 Screw Injection Piles (SIP) supplied for a renovation project in Leiden
Solines BV has supplied 4,000 meters of Screw Injection Piles (SIPs) for an impressive renovation project in Leiden – A solid foundation for the next 100 years
For an extensive renovation project in Leiden, Solines BV delivered over 4,000 meters of Screw Injection Piles (SIPs). The steel tubes, with a diameter of Ø 88.9 millimeters and a wall thickness of 10 millimeters, are 1.06 meters long. Thanks to the internal and external screw thread, these tubes can be easily and securely connected, providing a reliable foundation beneath the existing buildings.
Screw Injection Piles (SIPs) are installed with minimal vibration, preventing damage to surrounding structures. In addition, the required working height is limited, making SIPs particularly suitable for tight urban environments. By choosing this foundation method, the characteristic cityscape is preserved, while the buildings are firmly anchored for the next century.
This project is carried out in collaboration with Funderingsherstel.nl, an organization committed to providing safe and comfortable homes for future residents.
