16 steel tubes from Solines for a carnival float in Bergen op Zoom
Solines recently supplied 16 steel tubes to a float-building group in Bergen op Zoom for the construction of a new carnival float. The longitudinally welded tubes—each measuring 3.5 meters in length and Ø 76.1 x 3.20 millimeters—serve as “tulip stems” for large tulips made from old vinyl records. They also function as conduit pipes for the wiring that enables movement and sound effects on the float.
The float-building group specifically chose these steel tubes for their reliability, durability, and ease of processing. Thanks to the solid construction, they provide optimal support, while the hollow interior protects the wiring from weather conditions and mechanical damage.
The carnival float, which will soon be on display during the grand parade of ’t Krabbegat (the carnival name for Bergen op Zoom), promises to be a colorful and innovative highlight. With the creative reuse of vinyl records and the use of high-quality steel tubes, this project is a prime example of sustainability and craftsmanship in the carnival world.
By this means, Solines would like to wish everyone a happy Carnival! Enjoy the festivities and feel free to contact us if we can assist you with steel tubes or any other steel projects. Our team is here to answer all your questions, even during this festive season.
